Marrisa Dumford — Project Manager / Designer
Marrisa received her degree in Art from UCSB where she focused on painting, drawing and photography. During her last year of college she began a Design/Project Management internship with a local architecture firm and continued to expand her formal education with Interior Design and Drafting classes at SBCC.
Before beginning with CRD, her work experience was centered on small spaces, mobile design with luxury travel trailers such as Airstream; she helped design and oversee the construction of primary mobile living spaces, stationary guest homes, food trucks, mobile bars, retail spaces, etc.
What Marrisa enjoys most about working with CRD is how hands on the office is within the entire design, construction, and installation process. Her favorite days are when she is able to go on site to meet with a client, sub-contractor or architect. CRD is involved in so much more beyond sourcing furnishings and accessories; it’s amazing to transform a space with interior architecture and custom pieces and to see all of the backend work come to life.
Marrisa is inspired by everyday life and the unique lifestyle Santa Barbara has to offer with the exceptional architecture and abundant nature. She loves to travel to surrounding areas frequently (Palm Springs, Joshua Tree, Big Sur) to pull inspiration.
